We are thrilled to announce that the Tacoma Emergency Shelter is making a powerful transition towards a more permanent housing solution for the community. 🌟💪
Despite not meeting initial expectations, the City of Tacoma, City of Lakewood, Pierce County, and the State Department of Commerce are committed to taking decisive action. They have raised millions of dollars in 2021 to convert the Hosmer property into an emergency homeless shelter, managed by the esteemed Low-Income Housing Institute. And now, they are stepping up to create a lasting impact. 💙🏡
Recognizing the need for sustainable solutions, the shelter is embarking on a transformational journey towards permanent housing. This visionary approach aims to provide stability, security, and dignity to those experiencing homelessness. Together, we are building a stronger and more compassionate community. 🤝💕
