Rent help and eviction prevention (funding-dependent)

These programs open and close as funding arrives and runs out, often within weeks. Call first, ask what is open today, and ask what documents to bring. If you have an eviction notice, contact the legal help below the same day — do not move out just because you received a notice.

Notes from our check

Coordinated Entry lead for Skagit County appears to have transitioned from Community Action of Skagit County (which still runs the Family Development Center shelter and screens callers to 360-862-4357) to North Sound 211 / Volunteers of America Western Washington as the primary access point, per the county Human Services page and multiple 2024-2025 news items - both numbers route to the same VOA-run intake.
