Washington Housing & Help Resources by County — All 39 Counties (Updated Monthly)
Updated: 6 hours ago
Washington has 39 counties and no single front door for housing help. This page is the front door we wish existed: one verified directory per county — every housing authority and its waitlist status, nonprofit buildings you can apply to, senior housing, rent help and eviction prevention, shelter, food, utilities, legal aid, veterans and youth programs — each checked by hand and dated. We re-check everything monthly.
Three things that are true everywhere in Washington: (1) there is no single application — apply to every door you qualify for; (2) Coordinated Entry and 2-1-1 are how most openings are filled — get assessed even if the wait is long; (3) every rent-help and housing program, including Mysti's, depends on eligibility and funding — nobody can promise a unit or a check.
Start statewide
Call 2-1-1 or visit wa211.org — what is open in your county this week.
Washington statewide programs — how to get in — FCS supportive housing, Apple Health & Homes, GOSH and the HCS housing subsidy, CBRA, HEN/ABD, Section 8 and public housing, Section 811, veterans, youth, domestic violence, reentry, eviction defense, utilities, fair housing. Who qualifies, who the door is, what to ask for by name.

Open senior housing (55+ / 62+)
Every county directory has a senior-housing section. Senior and disabled buildings often have shorter lists than the general voucher list, and several were accepting applications on our last check. For the search method that works statewide, see Finding open senior housing right now.

To refer someone to Mysti's, use the Partners & Referrals page. The statewide guide has a referral-route table for FCS, AHAH, GOSH/HCS subsidy, CBRA, HEN, Section 811 and more.
Get monthly updates for your county
Tell us which counties and topics matter to you — waitlist openings, senior housing, rent help, food and utilities, events, free learning — and we will send one short email a month. Stop any time.
How we check: each county page is rebuilt from sources we opened on September 19, 2026; statuses are quoted, not paraphrased, and anything we could not verify is marked "status not posted online." Next refresh: October 2026. Report a change: help@mysticares.org.
